2007 Season in Review In the spring of 2007 the Mustangs put 4 teams into the NEAAU Baseball League, a 12U, two 13U and a 14U teams. As in the "Field of Dreams", if you build it they will come, the Mustangs in 2007 had players from 12 different RI Communities ( NK, SK, EG, EWG, Warwick, Coventry, Middletown, West Warwick, Portsmouth, Narragansett, Cranston and Richmond) This past season the 14U Mustangs competed in the NEAAU Super Division finishing 3rd in New England and also played in the Baseball Championship Series Qualifier run by Perfect Game.org . At the AAU Division 2 Nationals the 14U Mustangs finished with a 5-1 record winning their first bracket in Pool play advancing to the Championship Bracket. The Mustangs were a complete team effort as they came back in 4 of their victories in the late innings to secure victories. In their final game the Mustangs were behind 4-1 to their local rivals the Ramblers in the 5th inning before mounting another late inning comeback to secure an 8 to 4 victory. The 13U Mustangs played in the NEAAU
Regional finishing 3rd in New England AAU Open Division. The also competed in
the NEAAU Super Regional finishing third in a field filled with Super Division
teams from through-out New England. This past year the 12U Mustangs competed in the NEAAU Spring league so as to prepare for their trip to Cooperstown All-Star Village where they finished a very respectful 5th out of 24 teams.
