2008 Mustang Season:

The 2008 13U Mustangs coached by Bill Kerwin are the AAU Classic National Champions.

The Mustangs played in the National Championships the week of July 22 in Virginia Beach. Lead by strong pitching and defense the Mustangs not only overcame tough competition but also the weather on the road to the championship.

The 2008 14U Mustangs wet to Orlando to play in the National Div II AAU Tournament. Their journey was followed by the NorthEast Independent: Click here for the story!

The 14U Mustangs also were the NEAAU Super Regional Champion as well as participated in the Winning Pitcher and BCS/Perfect Game Tournaments

Our 12U Mustangs:

The 2008 12U team played in the Open Division of the New England AAU, going 8 - 8 overall and 7 - 5 in conference. The team consisted of players from North Kingstown, Coventry, East Greenwich and West Warwick. After losing their first double-header, they were never swept the remainder of the year.

The team also went to Cooperstown Dreamspark in August and ended up ranked 21st out of 99 teams from around the country. While in Cooperstown, the team played 8 games, scored 85 runs, gave up only 35 runs, and combined for 11 home runs from 5 players.

Due to the success of the program in 2006,2007 and 2008 the Mustangs are poised to play a challenging season against the best competition possible already being contacted to play against a number of Super Division teams at the 13U and 14U divisions.
